A love of photography runs in my family – the capturing of beautiful images in just an instant!

I finally invested in my first ever SLR just before my first daughter was born in 2008. It was a digital one and I was so excited that I’d be able to capture my baby growing up with such a lovely piece of technology. Until this point I had borrowed other family members’ cameras – and it was a wonderful feeling to at last have my own.

Within a year of posting my photos on social media I started getting requests from friends to take pictures of their children, and it all started from there.

Family outdoor shoots have remained my favourite area but I have also carried out weddings, christenings, parties, product shoots, commercial work, newborn babies, and I am the official photographer for the Elite Gymnastics Club.

It’s a constant learning curve and my kit is regularly upgraded and improved, as my work in this area progresses.

It’s an eye for a beautiful shot, the connection I have with all my clients from the very tiny to the very old, and my ability to edit the photos afterwards, to create works of art in a photographic form, that I believe is the secret to my success so far.
